Figuring out how to provide tiered supports when it comes to behavior can be tricky, especially if your school or program falls short when it comes to the support process. We can help guide you through the process and provide you with resources for every level of support. 

If you're like us, you have likely attended numerous trainings on Adverse Childhood Experiences. While this is a good starting point, these trainings often leave staff wondering about next steps in working with this population of students. We provide assistance in understanding and going beyond identifying ACEs to assist in implementing trauma- informed practices, interventions, and staff-student interactions. Through the use of assessments, risk vs. benefit analysis and consideration of student history, we will work with you to increase your competency when it comes to supporting students with trauma. 

We know data is a large part of a behavior analyst's life, but the challenge often lies in gaining staff buy-in in the data collection process.  We can assist you in problem-solving staff resistance and selecting data systems that staff are actually excited to utilize!

There are a plethora of research and evidence-based classroom management strategies you should be using that you likely weren't taught in your coursework. We will guide you through the top, tier 1 behavior management strategies to assist you in supporting teachers in this area. 

Need to teach new behavior skills, but don't know where to start? Explicitly teaching new skills and ensuring students use those skills in the natural environment takes planning and systematic instruction. Have no fear! We are passionate about teaching fellow behavior analysts how to identify, teach, and increase the likelihood students will generalize these skills. 

A large majority of students who exhibit problem behaviors do so in part because of skill deficits in certain executive functions. If you have a student who falls into this category, we will guide you in how to teach and strengthen these missing skills. 

Do you have a student who is ready to transition to a less restrictive environment within the building? Maybe you have a student who attends some general education classes, but you aren't sure how to help them be successful when they are there. The success of these students depends on the staff's readiness and ability to support them in this. We have a great deal of experience working with students transitioning between educational settings and will guide you, the teachers, service providers, and support staff through the process to include: behavior plan or instructional strategy training, data collection tools, reinforcement systems, and more.

Are you working a tough case and the players involved think that suspension or change-of-placement is the only option? We will coach you in having those tough conversations while bringing evidence-based alternatives to the table.

Conducting a comprehensive functional behavioral assessment that examines all of the different variables at play within the student's environment can seem complicated. This is especially true for our students who experience mental health disorders and/or have a trauma history. We will guide you through every step of the process: from assessment methods, to connecting thorough histories, to graphing and analyzing data, all the way to conducting risks vs. benefits analysis...and more!

Boy do we love this part! Designing a behavior intervention plan can easily become a daunting process. Maybe you are worried because the last one you attempted to implement had no effect on the student's behavior. Here's the good thing: we've been writing and coaching others how to write highly effective behavior plans for many years now, and we can coach you through this too. 

Despite training staff, are you still observing a lack of implementation? Are you unsure how to navigate staff skill deficits and motivation? We've been in your shoes and understand the challenges that come with this. We'll teach you how to identify barriers to implementation, consider function of staff behavior, and shift your game plan to increase accuracy of plan implementation. 

We get it - some behavior interventions and strategies may seem confusing or overwhelming for staff. But, this is usually due to a lack of understanding and skill in this area. We will teach you how to apply behavioral principals to staff to identify their own behavioral function, skillset, motivation, and mindset. Then, it's on to creating a plan to make yourself the most reinforcing and sought-after BCBA on the block!

Staff training is a large part of what we BCBAs do each day, so it's safe to say one needs to feel confident in this area to help students make the most progress. Direct instruction and accommodations aren't just for our students! We can assist you in utilizing Behavior Skills Training, visuals and written scripts as tools to increase the generalization of staff learning.
